Ethical enterprise bags the top spot!

Aelita’s Attic, run by Jo Hume, has recently moved into the top floor of The Old Loom Shop at the Arkwright Mills in Cromford.

Aelita’s Attic has a number of strands, including the production of bags and other items made from reclaimed textiles (like old coffee sacks, offcuts from local factories, old clothes etc). The bags can be found in a few local shops (see Airr Clothing in Wirksworth) and at farmers markets or other local craft fairs. They also started a sewing and craft group at the Derbyshire Eco Centre, which has recently merged with the Transition Town Textile Group.

They have created their own website for now, but we plan to help them with a brand development project followed by an ecommerce website.
