Who we are

Boulder Design started in January 2005 with the aim of bringing good design to all forms of communication. There were simply too many adverts in the local paper printed in the 'Comic Sans' font that seemed to be saying very little to very few. We believe that there is no excuse for confusing, ugly or inaccessible communication: just a little bit of extra effort will help you achieve your aims whilst engaging your target audience and building a better impression of your business.

Ross Hume is the lead designer at Boulder. He has an extensive background in the world of social research and management consultancy. He has also travelled widely and been involved in volunteer projects around the world. All this gives Boulder a real-life basis for its work: we are not in the business of showing off artistic skills or designing for design's sake.

Why choose Boulder Design? Well, yes, there are lots of other companies out there offering the same type of products. However, we believe that we can give you something different. Our belief in clear, concise and engaging design puts the focus soundly on the delivery of your content. Every project we undertake is distinctive and unique. We will try to build a deep understanding of what it is you are trying to achieve, and are keen to hear your opinions and feedback.
