The FUTURAGE project aims to develop a roadmap for ageing research in Europe. The project brings together scientists, stakeholders and the general public from many countries in order to share priorities and foster engagement. The website needed to be fresh, clear and cross-compatible for the target audiences.

The site runs on a heavily-customised version of the content management system MODx. The site conforms to WCAG-AA accessibility standards and offers text-only versions, print-only styles and live translation options.

The client says...

I would not hesitate to recommend Boulder Design to anyone requiring web design and development services.

From the initial contact to completion of the website, Ross has been enthusiastic and professional.  At the tender stage he showed an excellent grasp of the project and had gone out of his way to understand the wider environment in which the website would be used, and the multiple audiences we were trying to reach.

He quickly embraced the look and feel of our early ideas and expanded them into functional ideas which provided the basis for the final website, while being adaptable and flexible in accommodating our requirements.  If the proof of the pudding is in the eating, it is testimony to Ross’s skills that we have received nothing but compliments about the website; one of our key requirements was simplicity of design and usage, and in this the website exceeds our expectations.

The back end solutions are as elegant as the front end, and the website is quick and simple to update, supported by an extremely intuitive CMS.
